A brilliant and much anticipated headline set for October will come from indie legends Puressence (an acoustic headline set), described by the Guardian as ‘An epic quartet fronted by a voice of rare power & distinction’.

Young wild-boys The Neat have supported Warpaint and Young Knives this year. They were also handpicked to play Kirkstall Abbey with the Kaiser Chiefs.

October’s opening act is huge Icelandic talent, Hafdis Huld. The Sunday Times best sum-up Hafdis, ‘Bittersweet, slightly bonkers and decidedly swoony.’

After storming SXSW 2011 followed by a brilliantly received north American tour, Black Cherry return to their East London roots for what promises to be a huge headline set. They will be supported by Lady Fortune, described by Drowned in Sound as having “an art-rocking indie-punk approach, Lady Fortune are very much here and now”. King Jacks brings his new sound of Brit Pop to Wagon. The Guardian say “This prince charming’s ambitious pop reminds us of the brash, brilliantly bolshy quality of Adam Ant”. Completing May’s line-up is newcomer and huge talent, Natalie McCool. Coldplay’s Chris Martin has singled her out for praise and acclaimed record producer Steve Levine was so impressed with her he signed her to his label. It’s going to be a fantastic night of awesome live music plus cool grooves with the Superfantastic DJs.

A star was born at Wagon in March. 17 year old Kitty Macfarlane made her London debut and has subsequently been booked to play a number of major festivals across the UK this summer. Barabra Kelly created a fantastic buzz. A new band to large numbers of the crowd, safe to say they stormed it. Headliners in March were the awesome Last Republic. Fresh (ish) from a European tour, the band were in startling form playing new material and a spell-blidning cover of the Cure’s Close To Me.

Wagon’s February night was opened by Claire Nicolson. Having previously worked with the likes of Martina Topley Bird, Dodgy and Mike Oldfield, Clare is now going solo and proved a huge hit at Wagon. Next up was Antlered Man. This band set the place alight and was an early gig for a new band destined for big rock things. Our February headliner was one of the most talked about bands in the electro land in 2011. The MidiMidis are on the brink of big things and their performance at Wagon demonstrated why.

Our first headliners of 2011 are Steve Lamacq favourites The Kabeedies. This brilliant indie band get better and better as well as more and more popular. We are utterly delighted to have the boys signed up and setting the tone for Wagon in the new year. Also making a Wagon debut is John MOuse (formerly JT Mouse). He has been described as a Welsh Beck and is much loved by Radio 1’s Huw Stevens. We open January’s new music fest with post-punk band Remodel. A sharper, edgier, more impactive yet accessible post-punk rock’n'roll band you couldn’t wish for – all the energy, vitriol, angular chops and lyrical literacy of the Gang of 4, coupled with the sharp-suited crossover stadium pop potential of Maximo Park. Remodel are destined for the big league.
